A new data map by the Vermont Department of Health released Wednesday shows vaccination rates by town.
The map shows the percentages of Vermonters age 12 and older who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The map comes as Vermont races to reach the goal of 80%-vaccinated set by Gov. Phil Scott. When that milestone is reached, all remaining COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted.
Updated weekly on Thursdays, the map includes data reported to the Vermont Immunization Registry.
In Colchester, 61-70% of eligible residents are vaccinated. This is approximately 10,447-11,988 residents, based on the town's 2019 population of 17,127.
Colchester's vaccination rate is behind Essex's, where 71-80% of its 21,890 residents are vaccinated. Milton is also 71-80% and so is South Hero.
Chittenden County as a whole has reached the governor's threshold with 81.1% vaccinated residents.
As of Wednesday, 433,581 eligible Vermonters received at least one dose. Approximately 11,000 Vermonters must be vaccinated before Scott fully reopens the state.
