Who are the Friends of the Burnham Library? We are a group of Colchester residents that love our library and want to ensure it has the resources to continue to provide enriching programs and materials to the community, as it has since the Friends were established in 1987.

We are actively recruiting new members to serve on the Friends of the Burnham Library Committee. This is a small group that meets six to eight times a year to organize the annual appeal, book sale and other fundraising efforts, as well as to manage membership records and determine how FOBL funds are utilized. We invite you to join us at our next FOBL meeting, Monday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the library, where we will be preparing our annual appeal mailing.

We encourage anyone who would like to give back to the library and the community to come and get involved.  We welcome the chance to bring new vitality and ideas to the committee!

For more information, please visit or contact the library at 264-5660 or FOBL president Sue-Rae Glinka at sueraeg@aol.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
