Burlington police are seeking the whereabouts of a suspect they say stabbed a Colchester man on Wednesday evening, a press release Friday said.
Police say William James Dunn Jr., 35, was involved in an altercation with a 36-year-old Colchester man on Marion Street in Burlington on January 30. Dunn is wanted on an arrest warrant for aggravated assault, the press release said.
Police spoke with the unnamed victim at the University of Vermont Medical Center, where he was being treated for a non-life-threatening stab wound to the chest. Police say the man was “uncooperative in the investigation,” but officers learned the men knew one another.
Law enforcement is asking the public’s help locating Dunn, who is described as a 6’1″, 180-pound black male with an athletic build, dreadlocked hair and heavily tattooed arms, neck and chest.
Police say the altercation was personal, and the greater public is not at risk. Anyone with information is asked to call BPD at 658-2704 or dial 911.
