South Burlington police arrested a Winooski man who they say crossed over the center line and then failed to stop for police while driving under the influence in Colchester.

Jalen Miller, 23, was driving west on College Parkway around 2:45 a.m. on September 10 when a South Burlington officer attempted to pull him over, a press release said.

Police say Miller then fled at a high rate of speed before hitting a curb while trying to turn onto Johnson Avenue.

Police cited Miller for DUI, eluding a police officer, negligent operation and excessive speed. Police also learned Miller had an active arrest warrant from Winooski police, a press release said.

He was lodged at the Chittenden regional Correctional Facility and was due in Chittenden Superior Court – Criminal Division on September 12.
