I am running for reelection to the Burnham Memorial Library Board of Trustees, which I joined in 2015. We are a board of five Colchester residents who work with the library director to develop policies while the director and staff run the daily operations of the library and make decisions about its collection and programs.

I have a master's degree in library science, and I'm a past president of the Vermont Library Association. When I am reelected, I look forward to continuing the process of developing the library's next five-year strategic plan.

Colchester is fortunate to have a dedicated library staff who make Burnham a vibrant and welcoming place. I am thankful for the work they do and for the support they receive from you, the Colchester community: our patrons, Friends of the Burnham Library, donors, and the voters who support the town budget.

I ask for your vote and I encourage you to vote Yes on Article 1, the town budget.

Toni Fortini Josey, Trustee
