Two local boy scouts, Will Belluche and Matthew Brooks of Burlington and Colchester, recently received their Eagle distinctions after completing community service projects with Troop 658.

Belluche completed his project in 2020, just a month before the last election. He and his team of scouts held a voter registration drive in Burlington, helping more than a dozen people register to exercise right.

For his project, Brooks built a canoe/kayak rack for Grand Isle State Park. It has with room for three canoes or kayaks on each side. He and his team of scouts built the rack in pieces, then transported and assembled on site.
