COLCHESTER — Colchester Police responded to 423 calls for service between May 10-23. 

Other CPD news: Corporal Stephen Gutierrez returned to his assignment as the Colchester Police Department’s Harbormaster. He will staff our Marine Unit for the summer months.

School officers are wrapping up their assignments for the year. Corporal Jaime Bressler is preparing for the  DARE program graduation for 5th graders and School Resource Officer Corporal Mark Jacobs is helping CHS and CMS prepare for their end of year activities.

Detective Sergeant Don Demar retired this past week after 25 years with CPD. According to Police Chief Doug Allen, Demar had a distinguished career working two tours with the Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations. The department wishes Don all the best

Of our 27 traffic stops, CPD officers issued 25 warnings and 2 tickets for civil violations. 12 individuals were issued citations to appear in Vermont Superior Court in Burlington for 16 criminal offenses.
