Colchester Stock: Police Cruiser1

COLCHESTER — After a brief foot pursuit, the Colchester Police Department apprehended a local man who was wanted for several state and federal warrants.

A Colchester officer found Tyler Branon, age 31 of Winooski, behind Motel 6 at about 2:30 a.m. April 10. Branon was known by law enforcement to have an active federal warrant as well as two felony warrants out of Vermont.

A brief foot pursuit ensued, and Branon was apprehended. Additional officers responded to the scene and were able to get Branon into custody after he continued to actively resist arrest.

Branon was charged with resisting arrest and ultimately held without bail at the Northwest Regional Correctional Facility.

The Colchester Police Department was assisted by the Winooski Police Department.
