Local third graders posed as police officers, teachers, and chefs at a homemade “Wax Museum” on June 6.
After interviewing different people in and around Colchester, the Malletts Bay School students were excited to pose as town staff and business folk, and learn more about the people that make Colchester such a wonderful place to live. One student, Olivia Martel, wore a third-grader size police uniform, complete with a dark blue cap and badge, after interviewing Colchester Police Lieutenant Peter Hull.
After the interviews, the students wrote a short speech and “became” that person at the Wax Museum. When visitors pushed a button, the wax figures came to life and told a bit about themselves and how they make our community a better place.
