A Colchester native earned the Northeast-10 Conference’s Swimmer of the Week honors last week.

Lindsay McNall, a senior at St. Michael’s College, won four times over six events last weekend while clocking a trio of top-three times in the conference this winter, including the fastest 100-yard backstroke.

She leads the team this winter in total wins with 23, individual wins with 12 and relay victories with 11.

Last weekend’s results pushed her career win total to 98 across solo and relay events. Sixty-five of those wins have come during individual races, while she’s combined with 17 different women to claim 33 relay victories.

On Saturday, she won the 200 backstroke by 4.91 seconds, fast enough for third in the league.

She also placed second in the 200-yard individual medley and led off for the second-place 200-yard medley relay, in which she recorded the fastest leg of the meet.

The next day, she won the 100-yard butterfly and anchored the top 400-yard freestyle relay. Her leadoff 100 backstroke leg of 58.93 was the fastest time in the NE-10 this season.

McNall will look to break the century mark for career wins during the Purple Knights’ final meet of the season Sunday at St. Lawrence University, starting at 1 p.m.

She’ll then try to cap off her illustrious career during the four-day NE10 Championships, which kick off on Feb. 16 at Southern Connecticut State University.
