The Colchester Cobras wrapped up a successful season this month, finishing second in the grades 3-6  state tournament in Vergennes on April 8. They trailed the hosts by just 9.5 points.

Cam Katon and Cahota Lafond dominated their way to be state champions, while second-place trophies were snagged by Keegan Vance, Brody Coppins and Graham Resmer. Third-place finishers included Sawyer Prouty and Nick Forguites, followed by Jordan Lavoie, Lucas Fielden, Hunter Gauthier and Garrett Crook.

Lafond followed up his showing with a first-place finish at the G2 King of the Mat Nationals tournament in Brockport, N.Y. Brody Coppins finished closely behind, earning a third-place trophy.

That same day, Cruz Haran, Shay Prouty and Tanner Prouty competed in the K-2 season ending tournament hosted by the St. Johnsbury Prospectors.
