Don’t private road dwellers pay taxes, too? I never heard they don’t pay taxes, nor have I heard they get a discount for living on roads not town maintained. I do not live on a private road. I don’t have kids either.
We all pay to educate kids because “it’s what we do,” so by my logic, for that nominal per person fee, we plow all roads no matter if the sign says “Pvt” or not. Keeps everything and everyone moving. Who wants to see a neighbor with a medical condition crawling through the snow to reach the EMTs waiting out at the public roadway?
