With the arrival of spring comes the discovery of gravel, branches and mud on park trails. Volunteers at Colchester’s Niquette Bay State Park brought their shovels, rakes and work gloves for a clean-up day on Saturday, May 20.

Girl Scouts in Troop 30219 Arena Coryer (left) and Emilee Gilfillan joined in helping clean up the park. Both girls say they love being a part of nature and helping ready the park for the summer.

Volunteers measure and set up a new sign at the state park.
