The Colchester Athletic Booster Association held its 12th annual Golf Classic at Rocky Ridge on August 1. Boosters raised over $11,000 in what organizers say was the biggest event to date.

The money will be used to buy uniforms and equipment for all sports, excluding football and hockey, which have their own boosters.

The winner of the classic was “Coaches-R-Us,” comprised of Jamie Rozzie, Bob LeHouiller, Mark Ciardelli and Matt Schofield.

The top six winners chose from the following prizes: Greens fees to Vt. National, Rocky Ridge, Kwiniaska, Burlington Country Club, Loudon NASCAR tickets and Red Sox tickets. Exterus Furniture also donated a $600 office chair for the putting contest, which Carl McCaffrey from Team Hannaford won.

“This event could not be possible without the support of our community, golfers and volunteers,” committee member Diane Bacon said. “It is an amazing sight to see alumni, administrators, teachers, students, parents and friends join together for a great cause.”
