Police say two Colchester residents were involved in a car crash that resulted in the death of a Warren woman on Thursday morning in Duxbury.

An initial investigation shows 53-year-old Karen Fleming was driving her 2011 Honda CRV northbound on Route 100 when she crossed the center line and collided with a 2013 Ford Truck driven by Emily Senesac, 24, of Colchester, according to a press release from Vermont State Police.

Fleming was killed in the crash, the release said, and Senesac was uninjured. Senesac’s passenger, 25-year-old Kyle Corey, also of Colchester, suffered a left knee contusion, according to VSP.

Route 100 was shut down for several hours while troopers and ambulance crews cleared the scene, the release said. The crash is still under investigation.
