A Colchester man was arrested last Friday after police say he burglarized his ex-girlfriend’s home in South Burlington.

Police say 46-year-old Timothy A. Santaw entered a South Burlington residence on Farrell Street through a window after removing the screen. He stole a laptop and some clothing, according to a South Burlington PD press release.

The homeowner told police she suspected Santaw, her ex-boyfriend, was behind the theft. A subsequent investigation confirmed he was responsible, a press release said.

Santaw was taken into custody and processed at the South Burlington Police Department, according to the release. He was lodged on $5,000 bail and was cited to appear in Chittenden Superior Court-Criminal Division.
