Colchester fire believed to be arson

Colchester police and Vermont State Police are investigating the cause of a fire at a local business on Roosevelt Highway, a press release said Monday.

Police responded to a report of smoke coming from Tri-City Glass, located at 3424 Roosevelt Highway, just before 6 a.m. July 11. The business was open on Tuesday.

The fire is of a “suspicious nature” and believed to be arson, the press release said.

Colchester Center volunteer firefighters aided police in putting out the blaze.
