Sunday was a Cobra podium day as more than half the team present stood in the first  place spot. At the final regular K-6 tournament of the season, and with states right around the corner, the Cobras won 33 out of the 42 matches they wrestled in.

Tanner and Shay Prouty, Cahota Lafond, Breydon Marchessault, Brody and Jaden Coppins, Keegan Vance and Jordan Lavoie all fought their way to first place finishes. Finishing in second were Jake Marchessault and Sawyer Prouty. Cruz Haran took a third place finish as did first time wrestler, Noah LaPierre. Ending the day with a fourth place was Karson Taylor.

The day before was a travel day for Cahota Lafond, Brody Coppins and Noah Quigley.

On the road to compete at the Gene Mill Eastern Nationals in Syracuse, N.Y., Coppins and Lafond both finished in fourth place.

April 14 will be the final hurrah for the 3rd-6th grade wrestlers in as they wrap up at the Vermont State Championship at Essex High School. Please come out and support these young athletes as they hit the mat for the last time this season.
