The Colchester boys tennis team went 1-2 to start the spring season, picking up a 6-1 win over BFA-St. Albans before dropping contests to Burlington and CVU.

Colchester’s  Nick Schramm, Ben Rathe and Jimmy Collins picked up individual wins in the Lakers’ latest match-up, yet the Red Hawks, led by two doubles wins, held on for a 4-3 victory.

The Lakers then squared off against Essex in a match Monday  and traveled to Mt. Mansfield Tuesday. Both matches concluded after The Sun went to print.

They will then have two weeks off before hosting Stowe on May 2.
